Bio

I am a postdoctoral researcher working on genetic and environmental factors contributing to lima bean nutritional quality. I received my B.S. in Genetics in Genomics from UC Davis. I then continued my studies at UC Davis, where I earned my PhD in Plant Biology. My dissertation research focused on physiological and molecular processes driving fruit quality during fruit ripening. I enjoy working with diverse crops (including tomato, pistachio, and now lima beans!) to determine the genetic basis of quality traits. Presently, in the lima bean project I am working to characterize lima bean phenotypic and genomic diversity relating to adaptation traits and nutritional quality.
