Undergraduate Alum
I am a first-generation undergraduate alum who majored in biotechnology with a plant emphasis. During my two years here, I focused on contributing to the sorghum project by collecting grain weight and scanning ground samples through the NIRS machine to further analyze nutritional traits. Furthermore, I assisted the project through transformation work, greenhouse labor, genotyping, and phenotyping. During the summer of 2024, I had the pleasure of working with the amazing people at the GEMINI team, where I enriched my skills in the lab, and in the field. Through my experience, I had the pleasure of presenting the work I conducted in the lab at four different conferences/symposia. Before my departure from the lab after graduation, I collected data for the pistachio project.
