I am a UC Davis graduate with a B.S. in Plant Biotechnology. I assisted on the GEMINI Project as both an undergraduate student assistant and Junior Specialist on the Pre-breeding and Genomics team, specifically for the collection of phenotypic and agronomic traits such as stand count and flowering time of common bean and cowpea populations in the field. My work also involved sample processing and carrying out downstream lab analyses for measuring nutritional and compositional traits. In addition to GEMINI, I aided in a separate project related to functional genomics efforts using Agrobacterium-mediated transformation for improving regeneration efficiency in sorghum.
